Golf Outing The annual WBASNY Golf Outing will be held at the Fenwick Golf Course located in Old Saybrook, CT, on Friday May 19, 2017. The Fenwick Golf Course is the oldest public golf course in the State of Connecticut and is situated on a peninsula at the mouth of the Connecticut River. There are spectacular views of the Long Island Sound or the South Cove from every hole. Tee times will begin at 7:00 a.m. The course is located a few miles from the resort and is strictly a walking course. The use of a pull cart is included in the fee. Unless Fenwick closes the course due to weather condi- tions, no cancellations will be allowed with less than 48 hours’ notice. Duration - 4 hours. Clean the World - ONE Project We invite you to join WBASNY as we provide Convention attendees with an opportunity to participate in a hands - on community project, Clean the World - ONE Project. Clean the World is a non - profit organization that collects discarded soaps, shampoos, conditioners and other hygiene products from more than 1,200 participating hotels and hospitality partners. Since its inception in 2009, Clean the World has been steadily increasing its services and operations to accommodate rapidly ex- panding community needs, awareness and donations by providing something as basic as soap for hand washing.

As part of its ONE Project, participants will assemble children’s hygiene kits that will benefit the local community. Each kit includes Disney ears shampoo and conditioner, hand sanitizer, band - aid, crayons and coloring book and socks. Our chosen recipient for the completed kits is BHcare - The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services (UCDVS) in Con- necticut. The UCDVSis dedicated to increasing awareness of domestic vio- lence and its effect on the community, empowering those victimized by provid- ing advocacy and safe and effective services, and to working for social change

to eliminate domestic violence. Duration - 1.5 hours. "One Kit for One Individual Can Change One Life" Essex Steam Train and Riverboat Excursion

All aboard for an adventure on the rails and the river! This excursion starts with a 12 - mile ride aboard the his- toric Essex Steam Train with scenic views of the Connecticut River. The train will take passengers to the Deep River Station/Landing where passengers will board the riverboat Becky Thatcher for a 1 - hour, 15 - minute trip up the Connecticut River to the East Haddam Swing Bridge (the longest bridge of its kind in the world) and then back to Deep River Station. The train then picks up passengers to bring them back to Essex Depot. Drive time to excursion - 15 minutes. Duration - 2.5 hours. Mystic Historic Harbor Tour See the Sea aboard the Mystic Express! Join the Captain and his crew on Mystic’s Oldest Narrated Boat tour, featuring scenic views and a lively presentation from the Captain. Discover Captain’s Row and the Mys- tic Bascule Draw Bridge, and the famous Tall Ships of Mystic. Learn about the rich maritime history of Mystic as you glide along the calm waters. Drive time to excursion - 30 minutes. Duration - 40 minutes. Healthy Walk WBASNY Vice President Leyla Kiosse and Capital District's Sean Morton will lead a 2.1 mile hike through the nearby Salt Meadow Unit of the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge on the Connecticut Coast- line. The hike through salt marsh, forest and grassland is appropriate for all skill levels and offers tremen- dous birdwatching opportunities. Participants will meet in front of the hotel at 7:30 am. Duration - 1 hour.
